Teaching is not just about theory but experiences and practice. I use all sorts of modalities to teach. Psychology is a subject taught with practical exposure, and I ensure that. For example - I may have you experience a mock session, where you will conduct a session. I belive in giving creative assignments that my students enjoy and learn at the same time, for example - Making a psychological profile of your favorite character in a movie (and similar). I believe learning should be fun, not a task, but a choice. Like this, learning happens good and quick. Reading and studying something in books and experiencing it are completely different experiences.
I welcome questions with open heart, students can ask me anything and everything related to psychology, even if it is not related to the module at hand and I will do my best to answer them. I don't believe in limiting, the more you explore, the more you expand and the more you learn.
Since I am a professional therapist myself, I believe I have a first hand experience of the difference between Books and practical. This is something that is a plus. For example- often what you read in books gets you stuck on the feild, here you have to be creative sometimes. This is what I bring with me, experience of working as a therapist. Also, I bring the knowledge of working with people of different cultures and ethnicities. I believe this will expand your horizon even more.
