I qualified as an Occupational Therapist nearly 8 years ago and have adored working with people in this capacity ever since. My interest in ADHD came about when I was diagnosed myself at 25 and since then I have gone on to become a certified executive functioning coach. Using a mix of my own experience, the theory and foundations of OT alongside the solution focused, strengths based strategies used in coaching, I have found an area of work that I absolutely love and have been lucky enough to find a lot of success in.
I offer a four week block of coaching (4x1 hour sessions) on a rolling basis, that initially focus on creating value centered goals (medium-long term). The remaining sessions are structured around creating action plans together that are meaningful, motivating, realistic and implementable for people. As the sessions go on, the type of support people need is ever changing and we work on whatever is coming up for the person at that time. Sometimes it is practical support people need but more oftentimes it is mindset related, working through the self-doubt, limiting beliefs and frustration that people with ADHD often face.
My purpose in life is to help people with ADHD create lives that feel meaningful and manageable, by teaching them how to create structures and supports within themselves and their environments that work specifically for how their brains are wired
