Anusha Ashwin

I am a Year 2 Bioengineer who is dedicated and passionate about health, environment and increasing women involvement in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). I have solid foundations in mathematics and science and am detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. My goal and objectives are to understand and improve the application of engineering and technology to solve real world health challenges.

I have experience of leading and participating in school and university projects and working collaboratively with team members. I am also passionate about inspiring passion for STEM subjects in younger children through personalised learning and teaching. I think different students learn in different ways, and lessons should hence be flexible. I enjoy teaching Mathematics, and started my tutoring journey off with my younger sister, who I taught Maths to. I generally do online tutoring, and believe that most mathematics problems can be solved easily through discussion and examples, and problem-solving together. Maths can be hard, but it becomes easier when someone helps you reframe problems in an easier way to understand, which is what I am here to help with!

I first started my mathematics journey as a child, and grew to love it, growing to achieve stellar grades in Maths. Maths is more enjoyable when you have a good teacher, who you are comfortable discussing with and asking questions to. I strive to be that teacher for you, and am open and friendly and comfortable with answering any Mathematics questions you have or helping patiently with a particularly difficult problem.
