I am a very seasoned High School English and Social Studies Teacher with 30 years of experience. I always try to impart enthusiasm and passion into my lessons and create respectful interaction with students. I use my voice and my exuberance to engage and capitivate students so that learning is fun and the experience is positive. I try to relate material to students so that an appreciation and connection can be made to what is being taught. I Ialways try to guage from the student what I need to do to faciliate the teaching and learning experience. Therefore, it is key that an open dialogue is developed so that students feel confident and comfortable asking for clarification. I try to follow the student's lead and am receptive to answering all questions and meeting the concerns that a student has. The use of videos, audio clips and slides are often used to build more interest and keep content interestng and enjoyable. I have had enormous positive feedback over the years with many students impressing to me that they gained some knowledge and a keen interest in what I taught them! I have also tutored many students of all ages over the years and I enjoy the one on one dynamic just as much as the classroom setting. Having the opportunity to work on line and interacting with students from all backgrounds is something that I am genuinely looking forward to doing. After so many years of teaching, I am not still very invested!!
