As AuDHD-er, I believe flexibility and dynamic studying methods open gateways for academic success that perhaps felt closed off before. I like to focus on the each student's individaul skillset to develop the formats of sessions after discussing where they are currently at and where they wish to be. I consult the national curriculum and specifc exam boards to ensure that the information taught is applicable and relevant.

Once we discuss what areas you are particularly struggling with and what you are aiming to achieve, the sessions will focus on exploring revision/study techniques and filling gaps in understanding of theory. I am skilled at explaining concepts in a variety of visual, verbal and kinetic methods and will work with you to feel more confident going into asessments.

Geography exams often want students to show in-depth knowledge of their case studies, involving dates and figures of events to demonstrate knowledge. It can be anxiety-inducing to have this pressure alongside other studies and I focus on teaching you the necessary information to maximise grades while still balancing your other subjects.

Outside of tutoring, I am currently studying my PhD in Geosciences with a particular love of rivers and environmental science. I remember how intimindating the schools exams were and the game of getting through the marking bands. ArcGIS is a new introduction to the school curriculum and can be overwhelming to learn as a student, and a teacher if they didn't learn it at university. I excel and routinely use ArcGIS within my studies and can provide additional lessons within this space.
