I have been a tutor for several years in the subject of history. My lessons involve me finding out which areas of the subject which they find difficult and getting the student to focus on progressing in this area. I tailor my lessons to meet the individual needs of the student. I use a wide range of sources and reference works such as authoritative textbooks. Lessons are usually one hour long and take the form of the student raising any difficulties that they are having, which is followed by me providing answers to the queries as well as getting the student to understand the topic in question through a contextual study of the topic. I can offer tutoring for as long as the student requires; while sessions may be longer than one hour if the student requires this. My fee may be changed by agreement with the student.
I make sure that the student is keeping up with all of their topic throughout their period of tutorship as this can help them with any difficulties in a particular topic. I also endeavour to make sure that students enjoy their tutoring as this also contributes to their engagement with the topics that they are studying.
