I am a university student, studying Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry at Warwick University. I have tutored before mainly helping KS2 & KS3 students with English, Maths, and Science. After A Levels, I have decided to teach GCSE English Literature and Science. In the past, I have had many struggles with exams and assessments, especially during GCSE study and I know how challenging GCSE can be but I would like to make sure that all students know that I will support them through any struggles and worries they may have. At the start of GCSE time, I got bad grades, but soon I managed to push them up to 8's and 9's through tutoring help. I can help students improve by making sure to use all methods of explanations to suit every child's needs. I will spend as much time with them to make sure a concept is fully grasped before moving on to the next stage as I feel this is a vital stage to all progress in education. My lessons will be structured in ways to help them progress; by giving them exam questions first to see which topics they are finding hard, and consolidating those first. I will make sure that we go back to topics we have already mastered to make sure the knowledge is still there by giving small quizzes at the beginning of the lesson. Techniques I think that will work well are exam question practice and learning keywords.
