Having studied foreign languages myself, I fully understand the difficulties and challenges that students may face during their learning process.
I therefore like my lessons to be interesting and language alive. The lessons are totally student centred, where I encourage my students to speak more, so the focus is on communicating accurately with correct pronunciation
My lessons are structured to the needs of my students. They vary from using situational presentation where the language is taught through presenting a situation, to actively involving the students to work out the language themselves using the knowledge that they already possess.
The content of my lessons cover both language and receptive/productive skills with specific aims and always include an introduction to the topic, pronunciation, practice via specifically designed questionnaire and free practice at the end of the lesson using the language learnt.
In my experience learning a foreign language can be stressful, so I like to keep my lessons simple, without complicating them and not lumbering the students with text heavy content. I focus more on communication aspect of the language, which not only helps the students actively use the language but also boosts their self confidence in using it outside the classroom space.
