Annie Jones

I have a Masters degree in Education major in English/Literature, and currently completing my PhD in Applied Linguistics.

I have been teaching for 16 years, 5 years of which was in the United States where I was an English Language Arts (ELA) and AP Language and Composition Teacher.

I passed the IELTS exams in 2017 with an over-all band score of 7.5, which is a C1 CEFR equivalent.
I tailor my instruction based on the needs of my students. I also make sure that lessons intended for ESL/EFL learners are mostly Task-based, meaning, it is more student-centered. Students are given communicative activities that they can use in real-life situations like ordering pizza over the phone, asking for directions, sending emails, and the like.

I am also for communicative competence especially in informal conversations wherein students are not to pay much attention on grammar, rather in getting the message across.

I make my lesson as fun and engaging as possible.
