My typical session will include 15 minutes natural conversation, 15 minutes structured explanations (e.g. grammar points, tenses etc), 10 minutes discussion, 20 minutes practice & checking that specific point. However, if the student is worried about a certain aspect (e.g. speaking, listening, writing or reading), we will focus on that. Also, at GCSE, we focus on paper-specific point and actively use past papers to structure the session. In addition to this, the students ability level and understanding of the language must be considered to structure the difficulty and focus of the lessons.
All aspects must be considered to tailor each individual lesson.
