I am a professional linguist with a wide range of experience: I have worked for many years as an interpreter, translator, editor and language tutor with English, French and German. I like to teach languages because I enjoy interacting with my students and seeing them progress.

Our first meeting is free: We will discuss what you would like to cover in the lessons, and I will tailor the lessons to your needs and wishes. We can either concentrate on preparing for an exam (GCSE, A-level, preparation for specific university programs) , follow a text book, or use authentic French material from the internet to start a conversation, on topics such as French current affairs, daily life, history and culture. You can choose the topics! In this way, you will not only improve your spoken French, but also enjoy a stimulating conversation on a topic which you find interesting. I regularly spend time in Paris and keep up with current affairs and social and cultural developments in France, and enjoy sharing my discoveries with interested students.

After each lesson, I will send you a document with the phrases we have used, the grammar points we have covered and my corrections and recommendations for study. If you wish, I can set you some homework (grammar, vocabulary or writing exercises).
