I have wide experience tutoring groups in art and art history and I spent two years as assistant teacher in a primary school teaching basic maths
For the last 5 years I have been teaching one to one online . I have studied maths at University level as a subsidiary subject. I help my students to relax and get over the block they might have with maths and actually enjoy it.
I do things slowly and accurately first.. Speed comes with time and practice. I help to break down difficult concepts and find practical ways to apply maths to everyday life. I have always loved maths and have recently studied financial mathematics as part of a business degree. I intend to study maths further in September, so the dialogue will be from one student to another!
I hope to pass on everything I have learnt and help you not to be afraid of the problem solving challenges of mathematics and become confident and successful. Good maths is essential in many areas of life and it's worth devoting the time to getting the foundation right. I can give you the basics and the confidence to keep building on your knowledge. You might even grow to love the subject too!. I have even helped a student with intellectual challenges pass his mathematics tests and grow confident. Nothing is impossible, no matter how you feel about the subject at the moment. Confidence building and self belief are just as much part of the curriculum as mathematics.
