I'm a French national can help you develop your conversational skills either if you are a student or an adult.

For adults:
I can provide French conversation to adults. I’ve many years of experience either in a community setting or privately. I will adapt my French to yours and can converse on many topics of your choice. I’ve also run a book club successfully if that’s of any interest to you.

For A Level students of French:
I have taught the conversation component of the French A Level for the last 15 years. I am especially familiar with the Paper 3 of the AQA French A Level. I can adapt my French to yours so you gain confidence in speaking. My lessons will prepare you to the oral exam in practicing answering questions identical to the ones asked at the exam. I use texts relevant to the AQA syllabus. I have a thorough understanding of the exam having met many examiners over the years. I know what they are looking for! My students have always been well prepared for their I.R.P. and examiners have always commented on the quality and diversity of the I.R.P.

In order to prepare you for the topic card, I will give you a text to prepare for the following lesson. There will be questions with the text. You'll have to think of some answers and give them to me at the next lesson without reading them. I will also ask you questions you won't expect, just like at the exam. At the start of the lesson, I will ask you to read the text so I can help you to improve your pronunciation.

As with the IRP, I can help you chose a topic, advise you on how to research the information needed, give you tips on how to write your two minute presentation and how to prepare for the conversation afterwards.

Over the years, I have met many examiners, I have listened to them speaking to the students and I know what they are looking for!
