Hi! My name is Annalena, I’m studying Animation at university and have directed an award winning short animated film!

I understand that art is subjective, so I like to begin my lessons by trying to understand the inspirations behind your work.

I will get you to show me your work, talk me through why you have made artistic decisions, the meaning behind your art and how you want to progress creatively. Together we will explore how to develop your practice both artistically and from a theoretical perspective- letting you grow as an artist.

I am experienced in many areas of art, including painting, realism, fine art, graphic communications, film and animation; as well as software such as Adobe Creative suite, Procreate and Toon Boom suite. Whatever art you want to create, I can help you try to figure out the best way to go about it!

One of the main struggles for GCSE and A level art is getting grades that reflect how good your work is. Many people have amazing work but struggle with the writing, development and experimentation aspects of the work. I understand the mark scheme and can advise you on how best to achieve the grades you deserve!
