Anna Neville

I have 18 years experience working as a teacher in language schools, universities and private tutoring. I have a Cambridge DELTA, a teaching qualification equivalent to a master's. I also have a master's degree in Spanish and Italian translation. I worked as a teacher in Chile for 10 years and I have also taught English in Italy for several years so \I have maintained my language skills since graduating. I teach part-time at the University of Leeds and currently work as a language adviser.

I create or provide materials for the lessons unless a student wishes to purchase a course book to aid their learning. This can be agreed before the first lesson. For IELTS preparation lessons, if you intend to take it online, access to online practice tests is recommended to familiarise yourself with the format. Please note I cannot share full textbooks due to copyright.

I build rapport quickly with my students and make them feel at ease. I listen and adapt to their needs because every student is different, so I tailor each lesson to fit their particular needs. During the first lesson, I check students' levels so that materials for future lessons are appropriate. When I identify an area of weakness, I include exercises to work on those areas in following lessons.
