I am a Mezzo-Soprano based in London. I'm classically trained with a degree from the Royal College of Music in Vocal Studies and an MA from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, with scholarships to both institutions. Now, I perform in operas and other styles such as, pop and musical theatre, in bars and restaurants all over London. Due to this I teach a variety of styles.
My teaching focusses on the Accent Method and Alexander Technique, which always create safe environments for students of all ages and abilities. This is due to these techniques allowing natural development and ease. This in turn allows the student to feel confident in their voices as it encourages relaxing of tension and force.
In singing lessons, it's very important that the student feels comfortable in front of their teacher and this is why I always ensure that I develop a good relationship with the student. The more at ease the student is with me, the more their voice will become at ease in our sessions. Additionally, the most important thing is that we get lots of good singing done and have fun! Singing is supposed to be fun!
