I enjoy a dynamic approach to my lessons - tailoring them to each student's needs. I usually use visual resources and handouts, as well as props and physical representations of the concepts I am teaching to try and solidify concepts to my students. I also enjoy using acronyms and mnemonics to help students remember important bits of information in exams. I usually focus each lesson on a specific topic, with a revision at the start of the lesson to gauge the student's confidence and a two-prong plan to the lesson depending on their confidence. If they are confident in the topic, I move onto exam practice and technique using past paper questions. If not, I have more detailed resources on the concepts and theory of the topic to ensure they fully understand before we move onto practice questions. I want my students to feel as confident as possible in each topic and I strive to make them feel comfortable with any question that might come up in their exam. I have tutored small classes and individual tutees before so I also have experience tailoring classes to more than one students at the same time, ensuring I am capable of a flexible approach to my teaching.
