I am going to graduate from Imperial College soon, and am going to Cambridge for a Master's. I got some good grades back in high school, but as an international student, learning in English was challenging at first. So I can understand the pain of making extra effort to understand the basics. Memorization doesn't come easily for many people, and I began to struggle to remember lots of scientific vocabulary after getting into Imperial to study Biology.
I had lots of experience tutoring one-to-one, and I had great relationships with all of my tutees. Besides teaching A Level and GCSE, I also have helped students get into their dream universities. By helping with personal statements, as well as scoping the subject that they are going to be studying for 3+ years.
I will have a set of lesson objectives, and I'll ask you some questions to get a feel of what stage you are at. Then I'll mainly focus on the areas in which you have trouble with, and then teach for a bit and then check your understanding.
It's very much paced by you and adjusted so that you are constantly learning something new or consolidating your weak areas. No time with me will be wasted.
I'm also very nice and encouraging, I believe everyone can learn anything with the right guidance.
I teach all sorts of subjects as I have no weak subjects, from physics to English literature. The most important thing is to be curious, every subject can be interesting!
