Earlier this year, I graduated from the University of Leeds with a 2:1 degree in English Literature.
Since leaving university,I have built experience teaching EFL, KS2, KS3, and GCSE English. As a result, I have several resources ready to go!
I am very patient with a fun, flexible and relaxed approach to teaching. My priority is ensuring students enjoy learning!
I am a firm believer that 1-to-1 tuition enables students to progress quickly, particularly with tailor-made lessons according to individual needs.
My Methodology:
I begin my lesson courses with more teacher-focused lessons at the beginning, before gradually handing more control to the student so that they can practise and build up confidence with what they have learnt.
I regularly assess students at the end of lessons to plan and prepare for the following lesson
My typical lesson structure looks something like this:
Lesson starter - a lead-in activity for the first 10 minutes of the lesson
Lesson Objective- Assert lesson objectives and outcomes
Lesson Content - PowerPoint led with resources (eg - worksheets, reading comprehensions, interactive whiteboard activities depending on lesson content)
Lesson plenary - checking student’s understanding including two stars and a wish
