As someone who is multi-lingual, I am able to sympathise with students. I am more adaptable and utilitarian with my approach as I understand how vulnerable a student can feel when learning a new language. It's hard to forget everything you know about your own language, when learning a new one, as cognitive biases can get in the way. This is why I aim to keep communication channels open and put curating effective lesson plans at the top of my priority list.

Lessons are catered to your abilities, needs and goals. We explore topics of interest and benefit to you so that it feels, real and relatable. The target language will be explored through pronunciation, spelling and grammar. Leading us to using words in different forms, depending on the context. We will also look at real English jargon, so that you understand the culture. To solidify understanding, both controlled and free activities are used. Feedback is constructive and helps you see things from a different perspective. I help you form sentences and work towards language proficiency in the learning style that you most enjoy. Whatever the lesson, I will get you to experience success in one way or another.

I have experience in tutoring young students and preparing them for exams such as 11+ and GCSEs. I have also helped students who have very minimal English, with their speaking skills both for education purposes and to improve career prospects.
