Hi! I'm Anna and I offer one-on-one tutoring for GCSE and A-Level maths and biology students. I am massively passionate about both of these subjects and am currently studying Biology at univeristy. I have previous experince tutoring at an A-level standard and whilst tutoring I convey my enthusiasm for the subject as I belive students learn the best when they have enthusiastic teachers.I have experince tutoring school children across many ages from KS2 to A Level. When i was at school my favourite subjects were maths and biology and a part of this was due to the enthusiamof my teachers for their subjects and with my tutoring I convey the same enthusiam for the subject as my teachers did. Whilst tutoring maths I like to focus on wokring through problems as these are the best way to learn and perfect new maths skills. The lessons will start with expalining the new concept then working through some problems thogether and identifying any areas of confusion and explaining them. I will then set some individual work of similar problems for the student to work through on their own to improve their confidence on the topic and then in the next seesion if they have any questions we can work through them. Whilst tutroing biology I have a slightly different tutoring method as the subject is less problem based and more concepts based. However I still would work through exam questions, epecially for students sitting GCSEs and A Levels as these ae the best way to learn how to do your best in the exam!
