My first lesson consists of getting to know the student and what type of learner they are which then allows me to create lesson plans that will cater their every need.

I also use a formative assessment to assess their weaker points and help me in later lessons.

Additionally, I use presentations that are dyslexia and dyspraxia friendly as I understand the struggle as someone with dyspraxia myself.

My main goal is to help these students enjoy mathematics and motivate them to pursue it at a level.

Studying at one of the UK’s top universities has helped me learn techniques to make mathematics more enjoyable and has allowed me to share my passion with others.

I also teach pupils how to perfect their exam technique for mathematics as I believe perfect exam technique is the difference between getting an A and getting an A* (which I obtained at A level).

I go through past papers once we have learnt all the content and also customise my own revision packs (inspired by physics and maths tutor) which will allow pupils to practice their mathematics skills.

I mainly focus on GCSE and A level but have also taught 11+ content for mathematics and have received amazing results throughout my tutoring career.

I also use visualisation to teach ks1/2 to help learn about different aspects of mathematics such as place value and money whilst for GCSE and A level I focus on spaced repetition to retain mathematical information for exams in the summer
