A bit about me, I'm a 4th year student at the University of Stirling, studying for a Bachelors of Arts (Hons) in French and Spanish. Recently I spent a year teaching English in the north of Spain in a language school. I enjoy language learning and helping others learn about language.
Coming from a monolingual background I understand the struggles that Scottish students have with learning languages and the different ways that the school system fails to teach modern languages. I too went through the SQA system of National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher exam, so I have a comprehensive understanding of what is asked of Scottish students these days.
As for my teaching methods, I prefer to focus on the components of language that Secondary Schools usually miss. In that way you will have a better fundamental knowledge of the language rather than depending on your memory. My aim is to improve your language skills as well as help you achieve your academic goals.
