I am a teacher of Spanish as a second language from Colombia. I graduated in Language Teaching and have a master's degree in translation. I have taught people with very different necessities and objectives for seven years. Creating great study activities is important for making a solid lesson for language students, so I use the ESA format for most of the lessons. In college, I realized the classes I appreciated the most weren’t necessarily the topics I was most interested in. Rather, it was the professors who may the lessons enjoyable. These professors were always engaging and comprehensible when teaching the material and willing to go the extra mile when I asked for additional help or clarification. I try to bring this knowledge to my tutoring approach and do everything I can to make learning a pleasant experience. I use lessons lesson plans in which I usually introduce the topic in a fun and creative way, then I explicitly teach the material. Afterward, I always ensure time for students to practice the material on their own. Of course, this method can be adjusted based on the student’s individual needs.
I have 7 years of training experience at the University level and in companies. I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible, therefore welcome any resources or suggestions students can provide. I am easy to reach and will always provide fast responses. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson!
