I am Masters graduate of Accounting and Finance. I will be presenting topic coverage using Microsoft Power point for more visionary explanations and doing numbers with my students. I also will be giving tests to my students to better understand their weaknesses and do more practice in those areas. I will be meeting my students online via Microsoft teams for delivery of the subject matter. I prefer to engage my students in discussion as we hit relevant aspects and often this encourages the student to build confidence when I ask them what they think first before we dive into the subject matter. Use of illustrations and real life examples is very key such that my student is able to apply the scenarios learnt theoretically into practice. I will also use educational platforms such as to engage my student to watch the short videos with me to better understand the subject matter. The use of Microsoft Excel is another important approach for my students to solve solutions and build their confidence as they navigate the accounting subject matter.
I always welcome questions and will move at the pace of my student until they are sufficiently satisfied that they can move on to the next concept or module. I find no need to rush my student because my goal is for my student to understand rather than rush through these accounting principles. The goal is to build a strong accounting foundation in understanding rather than a shaky one that will later confuse my student.
