My name is Angelica and as well as many years experience in Sales, Customer Service and Management - I have over 15 years of experience working in both the Fashion and Costume industries. I also have a degree in Costume Interpretation. This comes with a whole host of creative skill including (but not limited to) machine and hand sewing, embroidery and beading, crochet and knitting, art and design, pattern cutting and fabric manipulation, tailoring and millinery, and more.
Although I have always been mentoring or teaching in some way all my life, I have one year specific experience teaching Fashion and Textiles to young children just like you every Saturday where my lessons are completely self led by myself. We will discuss and explore fabric and textiles, environment factors in manufacturing, fashion and silhouettes through the ages, design and fashion illustration, character analysis and costume techniques for both stage and screen, and so much more.
My aim is for you to have a complete vision and understanding of all processes for any project how ever big or small and so my lessons are both contextual and practical. We will work together to focus on your interests and goals, and if necessary to help guide you in any ongoing work from other sources such as your main learning environment, or even your own personal hobbies or projects.
I welcome all questions and queries so do not hesitate to ask, and I very much look forward to working with you to hone into your creative potential!
