I tried working as a Private Tutor right after finishing secondary school and continuing until I moved to the UK for university. As I worked closely with young learners and their families, I developed strong communication skills and adaptability which I now bring to my primary school tutoring.
In my lessons, I prioritise a tailored approach that caters to each student's unique learning needs. Start by reviewing their homework and the syllabus, understand what they are covering throughout the academic year. This forms the basis for our lessons, where I offer assistance with their homework. I also sometimes incorporate engaging educational games and, at times, digital devices to make learning enjoyable:) I believe in fostering a proactive learning environment, encouraging students to prepare before school class to ensure they don't feel lost and can actively engage in the lessons.
Sometimes, there may be additional homework or preparation tasks from me for the next session, but they will definitely not significantly increase the workload and will be manageable.
Furthermore, I respect students' preferences to maintain their interest. My goal is to ensure that students receive the support and guidance they require.
In addition to the academic aspect, I value the relationships I build with my students and their parents. I cherish the time spent after lessons, where we chat and bond. I believe that nurturing these connections is a fundamental part of a child's educational journey.
I do provide support outside of our sessions. If students have questions about their homework, they can reach out to me at any time, and I'll be happy to help!
I also encourage parents to stay involved in their child's education, particularly during their primary school years, as this is when students begin to develop their study habits and attitudes toward learning.
I look forward to helping your child succeed in their academic journey:)
