I taught in a mixed school, and I’m really passionate to help learners understand that math is really not hard. All you need is to remember the concept to solve the problem.

My lesson format is very simple

Introduction of topic

Identifying how to identify such problem and steps involving in solving the problem

Asking learners every step of the way where they don’t understand

Real life example application

Give learners some group and individual work to do

Mark learner’s assignments and give them feedback of where they were making mistakes and they also tell me where they get confused

Discuss Worked problems,

Revisiting the concept

Address learner problems

Individual work given to learners

Look at typical exam type of questions

Written test

Marking and final feedback and then conclusion of the concept and the topic
