A rising historian, with a focus in American presidential and military history, and a particular interest in the American Civil War era. After completing a BA in History at the University of Southern Mississippi ( ), I am currently pursuing an MA in World War II Studies through Arizona State University ( ). Within the world of academia, I have presented three papers. "Post War Morale: the Battle of New Orleans" at the University of Southern Mississippi's Undergraduate Symposium for Research and Creativity "Cause and Effect: How Chickamauga Created the Spectacle of Missionary Ridge" at the Richard Macksey Symposium through John Hopkins University in 2021, which was also published in that edition of the Richard Macksey Journal. And more recently, "Confederate Medicine: Medical Supplies at the Siege of Vicksburg" at the 2022 Virginia Humanities Conference. All of this, along with a genuine love of all things history, makes me a great source on the subject. As if I do not know the answer, I will find it! I will also utilize various methods, as everybody learns differently, to find the one right for you. Using fun visuals and interesting facts, some of which are extremely hilarious, to present the fun and interesting side of history. I will show how the study of the past affects the present, and how it can affect the future. Drawing connectable lines between the eras gone by and the world of today. Creating a clearer understanding of the past, for a better tomorrow. And making history interesting!
