I offer a comprehensive range of lessons designed to enhance your child’s language skills and foster a love for English. With a personalised approach, I strive to create engaging and effective learning experiences tailored to each students unique needs and goals.
The key skills I will develop are reading comprehension - enabling students to analyse texts, discuss themes and practice critical thinking, writing skills - enabling students to correctly organise there ideas and structure them onto the page, grammar and vocabulary - lessons on grammar rules, sentence structure and vocabulary expansion, literature appreciation - introducing the student to classic and contemporary literary works that will lead to in-depth discussion and analysis and exam preparation - familiarising students with the test format, either SATS or GCSE.
There is also an importance in incorporating cultural and historical awareness into the lessons, as often in unseen texts in the exam there could be an element of the unknown, which can be eliminated by exposing the student to diverse perspectives, traditions and customs.

The aim of all of this will be to make learning English easy and enjoyable. As ultimately English is a subject which the uses go beyond just education.
