Hi,

My name is Andrew and I hope you will join me on the exciting journey of learning French.

I studied Economics and French and university, spending a year at HEC Paris (the top ranked business school in Europe at the time) as part of my degree.

This experience, on top of many family holidays to France, exposed me to French every day and allowed me to immerse myself in the language and the culture.

Learning another language might seem daunting at first but it's just like learning anything else and the more enjoyable the lessons are, the easier it will be to learn.

I do not have a set method of teaching and will work with you to establish what works best for you.

Different people learn in different ways, so knowing how you learn most effectively is extremely important.

Don't worry if you don't know, as this is something we will figure out together.

I often find that starting with big news stories works well, as French news is easily accessible and, if you know the news story in English, it is easier to put words into context.

I also like to teach subjects in which you are interested, be it sports, films, politics etc.

This will form the basis for the first few lessons and I will ask for your feedback at the end of every lesson in order to ensure that you are happy with the way you are learning.

If changes need to be made I am very flexible. I have taught a huge number of students and no two students receive the same classes!
