I have worked for over 17 years in the education sector teaching at Universities such as UAL UCA and Middlesex University. I have also worked in schools and with community groups so I have a range of experiences of working with the all age groups and all levels of proficiency. My teaching style is to establish my students learning needs and proficiencies and to then create a scheme of work unique for each student. My particular strength is my broad subject knowledge and grasp of critical theory, which is combined with my solid grounding in the practicalities of making. I have significant technical understanding of fine art techniques having worked as a technician for 19 years and being a practicing artist. I am very confident working with materials to communicate complex and nuanced concepts. As a teacher I am patient and empathic and work well with adults and children alike, I have a passion for my subject and enjoy sharing the joy of creativity with people of all ages and competencies.
