I am a highly experienced English teacher and am a specialist in GCSE language and literature. I am also an examiner for an exam board which gives me a unique insight into what is required to pass GCSE exams. My belief is that compassion, understanding and listening are all qualities that are key to bringing out the best in a student. Of course, the subject knowledge is essential, but engaging with students is so important to unlocking the individual talents that can help students achieve and succeed. My approach is very student led; providing tailored approach to passing exams to the highest levels possible for each student. Not every student is expected to get grade 9's, and that is not what I guarantee. I do, however, promise to give your child the best knowledge and approach to taking exams that will enable the best results for them. Parents are kept updated every step of the way and I also provide homework. I can also help students with GCSE related homework given by the school to help keep them on track with mock exams and assessments. My expertise includes: Poetry (Conflict/Worlds and Lives etc.), Shakespeare, Inspector calls, A Christmas Carol and all other texts that are used within GCSE English.
