Start with a quick quiz, to check what student already knows about the session's topic, find out what student remembers from last time, and practise / reinforce skills learnt previously.
Explanation of the topic, why it is useful, key information on techniques, and teacher led examples.
Problems for student to practise the methods covered, starting with guided hints (scaffolding), until student can complete questions without support,
Recap of information, and what to look forward to for next time.
