I will firstly ask questions regarding what your strengths and weaknesses are. Depending on what they are we shall avoid the strengths and then we will work on the weaknesses as they will help you with the amount of marks you can get per paper. Eventually I will ask you to do a few exam questions ask for your thinking and reasoning to see where you might need a bit of help in understanding questions or how to approach them from a mathematical point of view. I will then ask you to do a paper in your own time which will be the only work I will ever set out for the student after a few sessions to see how they've improved in comparison to before (Improvement is critical) even if the improvement isn't Grand, then it is still important to take it into consideration. Throughout the sessions I will ask whether the student understands what is going on and if they are following what I will be showing them. I have access to a tablet with which I will write out the solution for a question or help a student show their working out to a question if they struggle with that as well. After every exam question I will mark the student to see how many marks they have gotten if they choose to go and do it on their own and I point out where they need to improve in order to get their desired grades. I have a lot of knowledge regarding possible questions that the exam boards might ask students in the GCSEs and especially in A-Levels. I also know what the best resources are there online in case that the student wants to do even more work outside the tutoring sessions.
