My name is Dr. Andreas Economou and I have been teaching IB HL chemistry for the past nine years as well as chemistry and physics at lower grades (KS4/ MYP4&5).
I hold a PhD in Organic chemistry from the University of Manchester and I also work as an IB examiner. My students call me Dr. E.
My students consider me tough but fair and they know that I am on the same team with them and I want to see them succeed.
My tests are challenging and my teaching is focused on what my students do not know well enough rather than what they do know. I try to make sure that they will learn and understand it. My aim is that my students will be ready to face the exams with high morale, no knowledge gaps and no fear.
