I earned an Associate's Degree in Graphic Communication from Sacramento City College. I also received a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development from California State University-Sacramento. With this education, I can create age-appropriate art lessons for my students.
I have tutored elementary students and adults in drawing lessons online. As a hobby, I draw original characters and experiment with different styles (cartoons and anime). Regarding my skill, my artwork was featured in student shows in high school, college, and California State University-Sacramento. These works included anime, realistic art, mixed media, and digital art.
Students who are new to art or are intermediates will be treated with patience and understanding in the sessions. I will sincerely critique students who show me their artwork and offer advice for improvement. Individuals will also be challenged with prompts so they may attempt new ideas and skills. My main goal is to help students develop their style or learn new drawing techniques.
Beginners (those who are brand new to art) and intermediate students will be taught the basics of space, shading techniques, color palettes, and how to be creative with their drawings. These lessons are appropriate for young and adult learners. At the end of each lesson, I will send resources so my students can practice a new skill in their free time.
I look forward to meeting new students and would be happy to assist students in understanding, appreciating, and improving their skills in drawing. I hope to increase students' confidence in their drawing abilities.
