I have a 4+-year experience of teaching Italian language and culture in higher education. I have delivered face-to-face and online lessons to beginner, intermediate, and proficient students. When delivering engaging content about the Italian language, I especially value the student's motivations to learn Italian, and tailor my lessons accordingly. Learning a language goes hand in hand with learning about its culture: my final aim is to provide my students with the confidence necessary to handle lively and interesting conversations with native Italian speakers, so that they can use Italian as a means to reach their cultural, social, intellectual aims.

My lessons usually start with a brief grammar exercise, but speaking Italian is always the main focus of my lessons: what we talk about and how largely depends on what your interests and needs are. Ideally, my aim would be to chat for the entirety of my lesson in Italian, also depending on your level of proficiency and motivations to learn Italian. I am always available to discuss grammar rules and clarify any doubt that you might have in English; new vocabulary and how to use it can also be introduced through the means of the English language. Of course, we can discuss this and other issues together in advance of our first lesson.

I am friendly, chatty, and genuinely interested in my students' backgrounds and motivations: I am a very flexible person, and my objective is the progress and enjoyment of my students!
