I realize history is often taught boringly at school, but I think it doesn't have to be. I like to give all of the informations that are required to pass a test not through sheer memorization but by telling a story. I like to use primary sources, anecdotes, photos, to punctuate the narrative the students need to learn.

I realize history is often taught boringly at school, but I think it doesn't have to be. I like to give all of the informations that are required to pass a test not through sheer memorization but by telling a story. I like to use primary sources, anecdotes, photos, to punctuate the narrative the students need to learn.
Obviously, dates are important, but the ones that really matter are going to be memorized naturally, and what matters is that the information sticks and follows the student in his life.
I have some experience tutoring, also with a few problematic students and have given presentations to large classes at university.
