Andrea Boot

I am a passionate and engaging teacher who likes to keep lessons fun and educational. My teaching style focuses on clearly explaining concepts, assigning targeted exercises, and providing encouragement. I customise my approach for each student's needs.
I have been tutoring since 2016 and have many years of tutoring and teaching experience. I can accommodate the needs of any student and can prepare them for anything. In addition, my ability to break down difficult-to-understand concepts into clear, concise, and manageable information means students feel happier and more confident after each lesson.
I have several years of tutoring experience and specific experience working with children and adults with additional learning needs and disabilities. I have particular skills and expertise working with autistic and dyslexic learners and those with learning disabilities. My curriculum can be tailored to meet individual student's needs and learning goals. I also have a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities specialist PGCE focusing on working with autistic learners and learners with learning disabilities.
The first session would be a baselining session. I am working towards understanding your/your child's needs and devising a curriculum that meets those needs. I offer regular informal assessments through quizzes, practice papers, or past papers for students taking formal qualifications such as functional skills, BTEC and GCSEs. I also have experience working with students working towards non-accredited studies and giving them the skills and confidence to work towards formal qualifications later.
