An example of an English GCSE lesson may look like this:

- Reading an extract together
- Discussing and identifying which literary devices can be found
- Analysing the effect of the literary devices, language, and structural choices
- Planning the structure of our answer and how to approach answering the question
- Writing the beginning of the answer together
- Independent work for homework of finishing the answer to practice the tools learned in the lesson

During my lessons, I provide examples that help students become familiar with the literary devices, structure and form and context behind the novel, play or poem that we are learning. Working with canonical texts prescribed on your specific GCSE syllabus we will work together on strengthening knowledge and understanding of these texts. I will work with you to ensure you have a concrete understanding of the Literature and are able to apply new information that we learn. My lessons are engaging, fun, and informative and will empower you to become a stronger reader and writer.
