I usually start the lecture by understanding how much knowledge you have already and we work around that by going through the different topics for mathematics, at every lecture i conclude with exam style questions relating to that specific topic so you can get a better understanding of that topic. After every lecture i always give a set of exam questions as homework where we will go over at the start of every lecture to make sure you have fully understood the topic.
