Hello, I am Anaik and am looking forward to being your tutor.

I like to have an informal teaching style where I act more as a mentor/coach rather than formal tutor.

First, I believe it’s important to find gaps in knowledge and identify areas of improvement if they are not already known by the student. After this, I like to spend time rectifying these errors and going through homework and other class exercises so that the student understands these before their class teacher moves on. This ensures that the student has solid foundation knowledge, so that when more difficult content comes up in class, they can use their previous knowledge to help them.

I also believe the importance in exam technique and laying out work effectively, so will go through past exam papers with the student to make sure that the examiner cannot make them lose marks for not showing their working out.
