Since 2006, I have been teaching Spanish with a communicative method and a complete immersion approach from day one. I firmly believe that this is the best way to learn a language, and my experience has only reinforced this belief.

Through my communicative approach, I focus on developing the practical language skills that students need to communicate effectively in real-life situations. This includes teaching vocabulary, grammar, and syntax in context, so students can see how they all fit together in a meaningful way. I also use a variety of resources, including authentic materials, to help students develop their language skills in a way that is relevant and engaging.

In addition to my focus on practical language skills, I also believe in the power of immersion. From the very first day of class, I encourage my students to use Spanish as much as possible, and I create an environment that supports and reinforces this approach. This includes using only Spanish in class, providing opportunities for students to practice their language skills through conversation and group activities, and incorporating cultural experiences into the curriculum.

Over the years, I have seen firsthand the benefits of this approach. Students who learn through immersion and a communicative approach are more confident and effective communicators, and they are better equipped to navigate real-life situations in Spanish. They also have a deeper appreciation and understanding of the culture and customs of Spanish-speaking countries, which allows them to connect more meaningfully with native speakers.

In my classes, I have had the opportunity to work with students of all ages and backgrounds, from young children to adults. I have taught introductory courses as well as advanced courses, and I have worked with students who are just beginning their language journey as well as those who are looking to refine their skills.

Throughout my career as a Spanish language teacher, I have remained committed to providing my students with the highest quality education possible. I continually seek out new resources and approaches to enhance my teaching, and I work closely with my students to ensure that they are getting the support and guidance they need to succeed.

Overall, I believe that my experience as a Spanish language teacher with a communicative and immersion approach has allowed me to provide my students with a truly unique and effective learning experience. I look forward to continuing to share my passion for Spanish language and culture with students for years to come.

I've studied Spanish with Ana a couple of times. First, for a few weeks in a classroom environment, and subsequently for several months in online lessons once a week. In my experience she is a talented language teacher. She uses a combination of written materials and oral exercises, all conducted with a warm humor and efficient intelligence. Ana is an excellent choice for an instructor.

Before starting my lessons with Ana, my Spanish level was zero. Now I’m able to use it in every day life with ease. Ana’s lessons were fun and dynamic, and she was always on hand to answers any (many), questions I had. Fully recommend!!!

Las clases con Ana siempre son amenas y eso hace que el aprendizaje sea más fácil. Se expresa de forma diáfana, es muy didáctica y cercana.
