I have more than 5 years experience as a Spanish tutor and I love it! I love preparing my lessons having my students’ interest in mind. With my experience and my students and parents reviews I have found the most enjoyable experience they have is playing games. Through games our brain works without noticing and not only that but we have fun and the lesson flies by.
I have also experience working with preschool children and this experience has helped me to understand how the learning process and organization works from the very basic.
I prepare my lessons in advance and I send the resources that we are going to use in advance for the student to print and be ready for it. I am also able to offer homework materials if the student choose to, as well as marking writing activities.
I organize the lesson in Different sections: First, review and questions from previous lessons. Second, introduce of a new skill. Third, short break, listening to a Spanish song, dancing. Fourth part, practice of the new skill learnt.
As I have said, I tailor the lessons having in mind the students needs and interest, I am open to change and move the sections around to best suit the students and, of course, if something is not working, I always have a already made kit for new activities and games to try and find out what works for each students.
