Having some experience in teaching, I find that the ability to recall information is incredibly important, especially for students who are going to be sitting important exams. By recalling and reflecting, we can consolidate our learning and knowledge, allowing us to become more creative in addressing problems. The best way to get better at knowledge retrieval is to test how much you actually know. This doesn't necessarily mean constantly being tested or quizzed, but I am a big fan of setting problems and working through them together. Practice makes perfect! The best way to find out how much you understand about a subject is to find out what you don't know about it. I like to think that I am friendly and approachable and I try to make all my lessons as fun as possible with different activities. I prefer my lessons to be a discussion with the student and I would much rather speak with someone than speak to someone. The content of the lessons would mostly involve using past year paper questions to consolidate knowledge, and I am more than happy to explain unfamiliar concepts. As someone who really does enjoy chemistry I am also happy to delve into content outside of the school curriculum if you are interested in chemistry as well and would like to learn more. I am also very flexible with the format and content of the lesson, I would like to make learning a fun experience for you and am very receptive to feedback.
