I like to teach around the subject, not just the content required to pass exams. I think a fundamental part of learning is understanding the content and not memorising it. When learning the student needs to fully comprehend the material, when it clicks, a student will never forget content as the application is a massive part of exams. I like to explore the content in ways that students will understand, whether it means I have to give them more visual examples or more real-world examples. I think tutoring should be a way to support students outside of school, the content covered should be what they require help with personally. I provide tailored lessons and homework around what the student requires. I also like to provide open communications through emails and texts to provide support outside of lessons too in order to ensure the highest success rate for learning and exams.
