The CPA method involves using actual objects for children to add, subtract, multiply or divide. They then progress to using pictorial representations of the object, and ultimately, abstract symbols.Building or drawing a model makes it easier for children to grasp difficult abstract concepts. Simply put, it helps students visualise abstract problems and make them more accessible.
