The lessons for me are not only practice for exams for those in older years but a better understanding of the books and expanding peoples creativity. I want to encourage people to think outside the box and that mistakes are okay as-long as we learn from them. Each lesson will be preplanned before the lesson however if a child is struggling with something we can do that instead and focus on that until they feel confident and work at the pace they feel comfortable in but challenge them at the same time as challenging yourself is they key to improvement. At the end of each lesson i will ask the individual how they found the lesson, and how hard it was and how helpful. This is done so I have a better understanding of their ability and if my teaching methods for them is working. I will also set a reasonable amount of homework; once every two lessons as a sort of revision so we can see quick results in the individual’s ability. However I will not be setting an overwhelming amount of work as I am aware of homework set in schools and i want this tuition to be an enjoyable, helpful experience not unbearable and feel like a burden but instead an opportunity to improve on one’s knowledge and grades. I will also give the individual feedback at the end of each lesson - both critical and helpful in order for them to better themselves but also understand the good things about them.
