I am an experienced teacher of fifteen years specialising in History GCSE and A-Level and Government and Politics A-Level. I have completed my Masters in Education and I am PGCE qualified. I was previously in charge of Teaching and Learning across a secondary school and was nominated for a national teacher of the year award. I have also been a lead examiner for one of the top exam boards in the country for over five years. My key ethos about tutoring is centered on active learning, questioning and assessment. This means asking my students to be active during learning to make sure sessions are engaging and focused using a range of questioning throughout. Assessment is also absolutely critical to making sure we have a success criteria, to see that our goals are measurable and that we are both on a journey to achieving that. In my sessions, I aim to give you all my experience and understanding to ensure you have the best possible chance of success. My aim is to make sure you get the best deal with me in terms of quality, content and guidance than you would elsewhere. I tend to specialise in all areas of history but mainly 20th century. I examine and lead a team each year focused on the Cold War element of a GCSE exam paper. With regards to Politics, I specialise in UK, US and Russian Politics but also political theory and ideologies. I welcome any questions and enquiries you may have.
